The West Virginia (WV) Supreme Court is not the only appellate court to recently uphold a "right to work" law. Wisconsin has also rebuffed a legal challenge to its right to work law.
Arguments for and against State Right to Work Laws
Proponents of state right to work laws maintain that the laws will spur economic development. Opponents claim that they will undermine unions and thus lead to poorer working conditions for employees. One thing seems certain: The fight over "right to work" laws will be continued, if at all, in the legislative arena rather than in the courts.
