Matt Williams focuses his practice primarily in the defense of employers in alleged workplace injuries and illnesses. He has represented employers in hundreds of litigated Workers' Compensation claims before the West Virginia Workers' Compensation Office of Judges. He has extensive experience in appellate practice of Workers' Compensation matters before both the West Virginia Workers' Compensation Board of Review and the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. In addition, Matt maintains a diverse practice, defending employers and businesses in general civil litigation and defending health care providers in medical malpractice claims.

Matt was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and received his bachelor's degree in history from Tennessee Technological University in 2000. He received a master's degree in American History from Boston College in 2002. He received his J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2008.

After graduating from law school, Matt moved to Huntington and joined Jenkins Fenstermaker, PLLC. He is licensed to practice law in the states of West Virginia and Kentucky. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar, the Kentucky State Bar, the Cabell County Bar Association, and the Defense Trial Counsel.

Matt Enjoys watching and playing sports, playing music and reading. He lives in Huntington's South Side neighborhood with his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Cecilia, Josh and Lucas.
